Chocolate chip cherry smoothie bowl featuring BioHappy

I feel so good today.

In a kind of wooo weeee woooo weeee woooo weee way. Do you know what I mean? Like one of those mysterious days where you actually have energy to do things.

This could be to do with the fact that I am back on the yoga train after a few days off because of that special time of the month, or it could be a random spike in my hormone imbalances provoked by the crazy critter that is unpredictable mental health.

I think it’s probably because of BioHappy, a new supplement I’ve been testing out lately. Some supplements I’m sort of like “yeah whatever, don’t see the point” about, but increasing research is showing the wellbeing of the bacteria in our gut, which is actually really important, can have a significant effect on loads of other different aspects of our health. BioHappy is basically a way to get a daily dose of good gut bacteria to keep you going, strong and healthy like. It’s all too easy to forget about the parts of ourselves we can’t see – our heart, our gut, our digestive system, and just concentrate on the things we can, like split ends or that spot on our chin. (Obviously I never get spots because I’m radiant AF.) It’s important to take care of ourselves from the inside out!

I tell you what, I can really feel the difference. I feel so pumped and bouncy. Like really, really good. Like I’m on speed.

It also tastes way delish too! Using BioHappy to pimp up my daily smoothies has been a total dream. My favourite is the Superfood cultures – which tastes like chocolate and vanilla! This one also contains loads of B vitamins to aid digestion (not that I really need it, with all the HiFi bars I eat, but still) I made a really nice smoothie bowl using this one and wanted to share it with y’all.

Chocolate chip cherry smoothie bowl – makes 1 big bowl

  • 1 banana
  • 1 handful of frozen cherries
  • 1 handful fresh baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Freedom Choc Shot (or you can use cacao powder if you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choosings
  • 1 tbsp dark choc chips (vegan)
  • extra cherries for the cherry on top, obviously

Put everything in a blender apart from the extra cherries and choc chips.

Press go.

Pour into a bowl.

Chuck the chocolate chips and extra cherries on top, either in a nice pattern or just willy nilly. I also sprinkled an extra bit of cacao powder over mine for a bit more wooo weeee wooo weee.

I was sent sachets of BioHappy for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own, obvs. If you want to find out more about BioHappy, you can visit their website. BioHappy is available in most larger Boots stores or online.
