The best of Pukka tea

I feel like it’s probably time to write about tea again. I mean, it’s a pretty crucial part of the blog really isn’t it? Lately I have been drinking less tea and more gin, due to the struggles of being a functioning adult. But the other day I had a good sort through the infamous tea cupboard and browsed some of my old favourites with teary-eyed nostalgia. There’s honestly so many teas in that damn cupboard I’m never entirely sure what’s in there. But I realised I had soooo many boxes of lovely Pukka tea and I have never written about them! Not once! So now I am. Right now.

If you are from my neck of the woods (#southwestisbest) you will surely be familiar with Pukka as they are a company from good ol’ Brizz (Bristol) who do herbal shit and supplements and everything, but most importantly excellent tea in beautiful packaging, which is obviously one of the most important elements of tea. They are a lovely little organic brand that produce a whole hoopla of delicious tea. I’m going to share with you some of my all time faves, so you can rush out and buy them!

Lemon GreenĀ FullSizeRender (27)

A classic winning combo, Pukka really pulls it off with the right delicate balance of lemon offsetting the flavours of the green. This is great for people like me who can’t seem to make a decent cup of green tea and usually end up with a cup of what tastes like piss water. The lemon sort of covers this up if you’ve put the bag in with the water too hot.

And it is! It is gorgeous. You really get that lavender at the end of every sip. It has infinite dimensions to it’s flavour, as an earl grey should. You can taste each individual flavour like a summery meadow in your mouth and it is blissful. No grey areas when it comes to this tea.

This not only tastes great but does really cleanse you out. Good for dry skin and retaining that healthy glow as you watch your youth slowly slipping away before your eyes. I really hate fennel as a concept but I LOVE this tea. Also heard a rumour that it’s good for bacne, just a heads up.

Green Chai

Yeah I know, it’s like they’re just chucking combos together at random now. BUT even though you think it’s not going to work, it really does. It’s so gently spiced that the flavours blend really nicely and you get all the flavour of a chai with all the health benefits of a green. Can’t knock it.

Slightly similar to Cleanse, this is the Holy Grail of all teas. This is like Mother Earth in a teabag. Good for your mind, body and spirit. Have a cup after yoga. Have a cup when you wake up. Have a cup when you’ve just been dumped and you’ve eaten a whole bag of skittles in your car whilst crying. Never once did regret spring from a cup of Detox.

We have all been there when we have just eaten so much that we can’t move or breathe and the feeling of ultimate over-eating vom (the worst kind of vom) is rising quietly from our stomach. Three Mint is what you NEED in these times of woe to bring you back from the brink again and make you able to bend down without throwing up in your mouth a little bit.

That’s it really. They are my favourites. I hope they will become your favourites too. Peace, love and tea.
